Successful 2017 OBBO Reining Clinic

Great facility, Great clinicians, Great weather = a successful 2017 OBBO Reining Clinic

Once again a weekend with a group of fantastic people! The OBBO Clinic on June 10th and 11th 2017 was hold at Stetson Stables, owners Tony and Elizabeth Laros were gracious hosts. Their farm is a fabulous facility located near Campbellville, Ontario. A huge THANK-YOU goes out to reining trainers Matt Flarida from Purcell, Oklahoma and Harvey Stevens from Indian River, Ontario. They helped riders and their horses through the fundamentals of the reining maneuvers.

What a great couple of riders and horses, from a Professional Trainer to Non-Pro’s and a Youth. It was a good opportunity to refresh and tune-up their horses for the show season. This year the weather was hot but the riders were keen to learn as much as possible and rode throughout the day in the huge outdoor riding pen as well as the indoor arena. Each rider went home with information on how to improve their horse’s performance. Riders also learn some exercises to help them and their horses with better commutation and understanding each other.

The OBBO committee would like to extend a huge THANKS YOU to Tony and Elizabeth for donating their facility Stetson Stables for us to have OBBO Reining Clinic Fundraiser. Thanks to all your sponsors who help put on this fantastic clinic. Matt Flardia for sponsoring a day of the clinic your generosity was very must appreciated, Harvey Stevens donating his valuable time throughout the weekend. Printed To A Tee for sponsoring the OBBO clinic T-Shirts. Thanks to all of the staff at Stetson Stables for making everyone feel welcome. Thanks to Tony for his special dinner treat we all had a great time.

Last but not least, thank you to the volunteers who helped out behind the scenes with commendations, taxi service, preparing the food to taking pictures and making sure everyone had lots of water to drink. Thanks to Wendy McIntyre, Debbie Bateman, Gail Reid, Drew Pearce and Leona McAtee, Christy Lapins all their helped to make the clinic run smooth.
