2018 ORHA Banquet

As we have moved through the cold winter months the one truly exciting event every year is the ORHA banquet and AGM at the Holiday Inn! It is great to be able to see all of our fellow reineru2019s and their family members all dressed up and having a wonderful time.u00a0 The AGM was very well organized by the board and gave clear plans to our members as to the future direction that the organization is moving towards.

Incredible awards were the highlight of the evening as we had a chance to salute the top riders and horses in Ontario. There were a number of highlights that come to mind, Darby Mailhot put together a great collage of pictures that were shown throughout the evening, we had an amazing magician (Graemazing) to entertain us during dinner, Ron and Gillian Lubinsky receiving
their awards for their horse winning Intermediate open ( they both are great supporters of ORHA), Wimpys Tinseltown being inducted into the Hall Of Fame, Loris Epis winning the Brian Heaton award and some amazing speeches from many award recipients such as Jen, Michelle, Anne, Amanda, Logan and others. It was a fun evening of dancing, remembering fun times and events from 2018, a great silent auction.

Every Champion took the time to thank their supporters
and to recognize the sponsors that have made it possible for the ORHA to have one of the auction and of course the incredible dinner put on by the largest banquets and the best awards possible! We have to thank major sponsors that always seem to support the banquet each year, Carol Ivey and The Ivey Group, Sherry Wilding, Fletchers Horseworld and the Triple Threat Reining Clinic just to name a few, every class champion and reserve champion was sponsored in 2018 so a big Thank You to everyone involved!

WHATu2019S NEW FOR 2019

2019 looks to be a very busy year, with a full slate of shows and 5 additional ORHA Ride and Slide Shows that will be one day events with low cost and a limited number of classes. There will be a listing of dates posted on the ORHA site as well as guidelines for Ride and Slide events, we will also include a Ranch Riding class for something new. Professional trainers will be at most events to help those in need and to help you with your horses. The OBBO futurity will again be a huge success and continues to be one of the best futurity events in Canada. Derbies and Futurity events at Fletchers Horseworld are always amazing and well attended shows. Pickering Horse Centre and Y Not Farms will also support in 2019 with top level events at their locations! The Triple Threat Reining Clinic was a huge success in 2018 and will be happening again in 2019, watch for the date as it always fills up quickly and has a limited number of slots available. As you can all see, the New Year is going to be packed full of fun and exciting things for all in the reining industry. We are also hoping to have a couple of u201cRide a Reineru201d events during the season (info to follow)
