ENTRY LEVEL REINING
Reining is the fastest growing equine sport today and getting started has never been easier. Both the ORHA and the NRHA offer tiered entry level classes allowing beginner riders the opportunity to compete against others with similar skill levels, develop reining experience and have fun. For all entry level class, participants are NOT required to own their own horse and the horse does not need a competition licence to compete.
ORHA FUTURITY
The ORHA Futurity program was created to promote the breeding, training and showing of reining horses. Developing reining as a sport is a large part of the ORHA’s missions.
Nominated foals are eligible to compete in a 2 year old prospect class, a 3 year old Futurity class and 4-5-6-7 year old Derby class. Nomination starts in your horses’ weanling year and continues to be available all throughout their derby years, We recommend enrolling your foals early as the price increases each year.
