The shows throughout the year offer a range of classes to meet everyone’s skill level; from Entry -level to Open. Below is a list of classes, sorted by division, which are offered at the ORHA sanctioned shows. Click on a class below to view the eligibility, memberships required as well as patterns and other important information.
Eligibility
Less than $350 lifetime NRHA earnings, less than 175 youth points (exclude SS), less than 350 Green points.
Memberships
ORHA Youth or Non-Pro.
Patterns & Info
Riders can choose to ride with one or two hands as well as can choose to perform simple or flying lead changes and NRHA patterns 1-16 are used.
Eligibility
Less than $200 lifetime NRHA earnings, less than 75 youth points (exclude SS), less than 200 Green points.
Memberships
NRHA Associate, Youth or Non-Pro. An ORHA membership is needed for ORHA Year-End Awards

Riders can choose to ride with one or two hands as well as can choose to perform simple or flying lead changes and NRHA patterns 1-16 are used.

Riders can choose to ride with one or two handed, however two handed riders may not cross enter into NRHA Youth classes. NRHA patterns 1-16 are used.
Eligibility
Open to any Youth rider who are 13 or under on January 1 of the current year. Riders must use horses with ownership as defined in the Youth Show Rules and Regulations.

NRHA Youth. ORHA membership is needed for Year-End Awards.

Riders must ride one-handed. NRHA patterns 1-16 are used.
Eligibility
Open to any Youth rider who is age 14 to 18 on January 1 of the current NRHA year. Riders must use horses with ownership as defined in the Youth Show Rules and Regulations.

NRHA Youth. ORHA membership is needed for Year-End Awards.

Riders must ride one-handed. NRHA patterns 1-16 are used.

Less than $500 or 200 Youth points in lifetime earnings. Riders do not need to own the horse they are riding but the horse must have a Competitive License and the owner must hold current NRHA membership.

Less than $1500 or 600 Youth points in lifetime earnings. Riders do not need to own the horse they are riding but the horse must have a Competitive License and the owner must hold current NRHA membership.

Eligibility
Restricted to horses that have no experience showing in reining competition prior to January 1st of the current year. May be ridden by any level of rider holding a valid ORHA membership.

The rider can choose to ride with one or two hands and NRHA patterns 1-16 are used.
If a rider appears on an NRHA ineligibility list, they have exceeded the thresholds for the designated class and are NOT ELIGIBLE to compete in those classes.
It is the responsibility of the owner and/or rider to be aware of the NRHA or ORHA earnings and performance record of the horse and/or rider as recorded by the NRHA or ORHA. As per the NRHA handbook:
“Any rider competing in a class or division for which he/she is ineligible (or his/her horse is ineligible) will be fined $25 for the first offense. After receiving notice, any second offense may result in a $200 fine.”
Less than $100 lifetime NRHA earnings, less than 25 youth points, less than 100 Green points. Must be an ORHA member for ORHA Green Reiner.
Open to any level of rider holding a valid ORHA membership but restricted to horses that have less than two calendar years in reining competition.
